FINANCIAL AID
All applications include a section where applicants may indicate whether
or not they would like to be considered for financial aid and their order
of preference for the kind of financial aid they would like to receive.
This is the only departmental application for financial aid that is available
to incoming students..
With regard to financial aid, the number of applicants exceeds the
amount of funding available, and the selection process is competitive.
Financial offers are often associated with the research opportunities
provided by the faculty, and financial offers are made throughtout the
year to current enrolled students as well, so opportunities may arise
after initiating the graduate program. many students also choose
to join and complete the graduate program without receiving financial
aid.
